Dr. Eric Dierks is a graduate of both the dental and the medical schools of the University of Louisville, in Louisville, Kentucky. He completed residencies in both Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and is one of only about a dozen American surgeons to have been board-certified by both these boards.

After completion of his training, he served on the faculty of The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in the Division of Head and Neck Surgery before moving to Portland in 1990.

Dr. Dierks has lectured nationally and internationally and has published numerous papers and book chapters on a variety of topics related to his areas of surgical interest. He has been listed in the Pacific Northwest Division of the Best Doctors in America.

Dr. Dierks has practiced as a physician and dentist in the Portland area since 1990. He treats patients from throughout the Northwest and also routinely sees patients that come from elsewhere in the US, Alaska, Hawaii and other places in the Pacific Rim.
